Anti Wheelie kit ? Now i have the Ktm , i am sorta looking to learn how to wheelie , i know the jist of it but lack the confidence and was thinking of fitting some sort of kit to stop my ham fisted attemps, as well as peace of mind One example http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WHEELIE-SWITCH...cmd ZViewItem Any one know of anymore or how to build one myself , would rather not use a stick thingy attached to the swing arm Any info welcome :bouncy: |
I would've thought finding yourself some quiet piece of road and a bit of trial and error would suffice? |
Yes i know thats prob the best solution ,but anything to make it easier  |
What Rattler says and keep your foot ready on the back brake to bring it back down if you feel it's getting too high........... |
I'm off to bit up my new supermoto this morning......might need to find a quiet road first of all too. Wish me luck |
I will whish you luck if you do the same for me  Good luck ;) |
From the pictures it looks like an ordinary metal box from RS Components or Maplin, and it would appear that you alter the desired wheelie angle very crudely by turning the whole shebang to the desired mark on it's backing plate. All this suggests that all the box contains is a cheap tilt switch that you can get for a couple of quid from HERE Couple that with the cost of the box and another cheap switch to bypass it and the whole lot would cost you about £20 to make tops |
Why not go on one of them wheelie schools ?? |
Aint any over here :( ,if i thought the anti wheelie thingy was foolproof it would be cheaper than wheelie school anyway , plus i could sell it on and recoup some money Say i got £50/80 back then it would work out not to bad ,plus i could take it apart and make my own while i have it :D |
Anti wheelie device is called rear brake ! If there was a device for this would you try to flip it to make sure it was working ???;););) |
