Captive nut
 

Re the captive nuts that fairing/mirrors mount to,is there a source on tinternet for them.Cant find anything local and if I order them from dealer,Santa will probably deliver them!.

I've used ones from a telecomm rack up to now (M5 captive nut part no 523-115 if you want to try RS Components)
I'm pretty sure I can find a handful if you want me to bung them in a jiffybag?

Thanks for the offer,but managed to get hold of some,M6 the size I used.

I was helping a mate to restore an old car once. He was spending ages trying to wind in a bolt underneath with no success, until he eventually cursed..."F***ing Terry Waite nuts!!"
