no clutch lever pressure

Lost pressure at the clutch lever yesterday after about 60 miles, not riding hard due to the weather the roads were a bit ****y. Had the system bled on saturday at the local service centre. Bled it when i got home and the pressure came back.

Possible causes ?

Sounds as if you've got a leak somewhere if you're having to keep bleeding it. Most likely culprit is the slave cylinder seal.

Are the slave cylinders different on a 916 to those on a 996. I put the one off the 916 onto the 996 it hasnt given any probs before yesterday.

They may a difference in yours depending on the age of the bikes involved...... there was a change in I think 2000 when the length of the piston in the slave & the pushrod changed.
The easy waty to tell them apart is that the early ones are basically cylindrical and have a Ducati roundel on the end.
The later ones taper in towards the engine cover and have a design rather like a torx socket on one.
You can use either, it's just that you need the correct length pushrod...
