bike wont start again!! well, just went to go home and she refused to start. She started fine this morning, now after 4 hours of cool down she refuses to start with a bit a backfire thrown in too! How do I do that check to test the generator again? Its a nearly new battery.... Bugger! |

Okay, its been on the optimate all day. still refuses to start and even backfires fiercely still! any ideas? it had a new battery and new plugs about 200 miles ago... |
clean the plugs! Bet you it starts! |
hey! didn't think of that! I'll do that now... |
Okay! its started after I cleaned to plugs! Brilliant! Now all I need to do is sell it and buy a mint rd350 lc.......... Anyone want to buy a nice duke 750ss?? |
Told you it would start. I think your plugs are fouling, causing the starting problems. Fouling can be caused by a number of things such as mixture, however from your previous posts about the charging system you may have a weak spark that can result in plug fouling. As I have said before, take your bike to someone who can give your machine a damn good service and get all those little niggles sorted. Summer is on the way and you don't want it to let you down. You got the bike for a good price because of these niggles so I don't think you can complain if you have to spend a couple hundred getting it sorted. You wont regret it, but you would if you bought an RD!:roll: |
Hey! I had an Rd before and loved it! oooh it sounded so pretty with allspeeds on! Ive got me a volt meter now so I'll check the battery when I have her up and running tonight. also got her hooked up to an optimate, so that should help starting in the mornings... does anyone else run one? |
run one ????????????:puzzled::puzzled: |
