Whats the difference ??

Exuse my ignorance, but can someone tell me the difference between 748 E , BIP , S , R and any other models that i dont know about :puzzled:
Thinking about changing the Multi for a 748, not bothered about a high spec or the fastest machine so if the 'E' is bog standard cheep as chips it would do me just fine.

Cheers Simon :)

Basically...the bip is now called the E (or even just plain old 748), which is the base model with a passenger seat.

This is followed by the S, which has a few more bits and bobs added and is a single seat.

...and this is follwed by the R...engine mods/suspension/carbon etc.

They follow the same 'labeling' as the 749/999 range...the only difference is that the old E used to be called a Bip.

The standard 748 is a fine bike...just like anything you always want the best, but it always comes down to budget. Work out what you can afford and then have a good look around. Now is the time to by a 748/916 as loads seem to be available, and its a buyers market. You could pick up a real bargain.

I can tell you that of all the models, the red ones are the quickest

Although mine is an S but is a biposto. And what happened to the SP and SPS models?

LesPaul 14-Feb-2006 12:50

748E is a bip, 3 spoke wheels, standard suspension, non adjustable head angle
748S is single or twin seat, 5 spoke wheels, showa suspension, adjustable head angle
748R is single seat, 5 spoke wheels, ohlins suspension, carbon airbox, adjustable head angle, more power etc etc

Hope that helps
Darren

TecMoto / Essex County Choppers have a couple of bikes in there at the moment - only down the A11 to the M25 for you and I'm sure they'd even deliver if you asked nicely!

Give Chris or Marlon a ring on 01708 379721
