Keefer,

Its poduced and distributed by Computer Associates also known simply as CA, have a look in Program files for a CA or Computer Associates folder as its likely in there .....

I'm using a free AV software package from AVG, it works fine and was recommended to me by a PC bod.

Looks like you've already got AV software running and the new one is in conflict with it. Probably have to turn off the existing one to accept the new one.

You might have removed the CA software in the past but some trace of it still remains - u might need a dedicate uninstaller prog or registery cleaner.

As long as your new AV s/w runs ok - I dont think youd need to worry too much.

Just do a FULL backup and make sure system restore is turned on ;)
