Tank bag best suited to 916 derivatives? I was looking to buy an Oxford Humback Tank bag for the 748. Would you suggest something else, or is this one as good as any other? |
You need something low profile and not to big. I used either a single-tier Moto-Fizz bag or a Givi one - both magnetic and compact. The Givi one is particularly good but, only has anough room for a wallet, mobile, a camera and a few other items. The one I have is the T409. [Edited on 26-2-2006 by twpd] |
I would avoid a tank bag and go for the ventura luggage behind you and very secure |
And let it bugger up your weight distribution? No thanks. |
Got an oxford tank bag, works fine for me, magnetic so easy on & off, cant put owt on the back as that is were the wife goes, complete with rucksack:D Chris.:burn: |
Contact Everton, he may still have the one i borrowed from him once upon a time. |

Ive got an oxford one. Magnetic base etc. Very good as it can expand upwards if ya need to carry a bit more. That crossed with a good back pack suits my "traveling" needs on the Ducati. DC. |

Thanks Steve ;) Weeksy is indeed correct. I have a Baglux tank protector and tank bag for a 916/996 which is, coincidentally, for sale at a very reasonable price :D |
I'd suggest Evertons Baglux as they protect the tank from getting scratched. You've got to be very carefull with magnetic bags when you take them on and off as the slighest piece of grit will scratch the tank. By nature of the way the magnets hold them on people tend to drag them off a little when removing them and bingo, nice scratch in yer paintwork. I've seen it a few times. |
Everton u2u re Baglux |
