Oil on clutch pushrod - normal?

Hi all

I've just removed the pushrod from the clutch on my 998S and found it coated with engine oil.

My memory is telling me this should not be the case, and that all other pushrods I've extracted should be dry - then again, why the double O-rings on the LHS if it doesn't go through the engine?

Confused by my memory - can anyone put me straight please?

The push rod runs right the way through the crankcases. You should see two rubber o rings on it to keep the oil inside the engine. So in answer to your question, yes it should have oil on it!

Paul.
