Swingarms and large wheels

Hello,

Do any of you SS types have experience of running 6 inch or even wider rims?

Basically, I need to know if I can get a wheel into a 1000SS that is 6inches wide or bigger (5.5in standard). Hopefully this can be done without the need to go for a different swingarm but this can be done as well.

The most important thing here is getting the wider rim into the back. The smallest rear tyre I can find that is 16.5in is a 190 which you really need a 6in rim for (is my understanding) although they will fit to a 5.5in rim.

Any comments?

I was hoping to scare some people into responding because I normally don't post in here ...

Shouldn't you be on the web searching for product information for me?

HA! of course ... there isn't a wide selection of 16.5in wheels apparently. It's full carbon or magnesium at the moment, they don't do the carbon outers and mag inners in a 16.5in wheel, only 17in.
