I need a measurement .... I have been asked by Ils by u2u if the CRG Levers on my bike at their "closest to bar" setting are closer than sandard levers, truth is I don't know. Could someone with standard levers measure the distance from the tip of the lever to the bar so that I can get a figure to compare mine to and assist him .... Cheers ..... |
When I saw the title I thought you meant something else...you know.....for comparison purposes. Shame on me:( |
From when I rode your bike back from the chain change at Brands I found your levers suited my ickle hands a lot better than the standard ones, so at a guess I would say they were closer. If I wasn't 20 miles from my bike I would go measure them. |

From the centre of the ball on the end of a standard lever to the centreline of the bar = 100mm From the leading edge of the lever at the knuckle to the centreline of the bar = 72mm |
cheers Nick, I'll measure mine on my way to work in the morning .... |
Sorry for butting in weeksy, but my bike's not far away! |
No worries Nick, saves me getting cold in the morning :) |
I fitted CRG levers to mine and have found them very good indeed, build quality is superb but I think the price is to high. |
