Performance Bikes I've steered clear of Performance Bikes for quite a while, seems to have been a pale imitation of some of the better mags. However, I've been visiting my wife in hospital these last two weeks and PB was the only bike related mag in the hospital shop, so I bought it to read while my wife was off for some tests. I must say, since I last bought it, they've revamped it a bit and I quite like it. Instead of going down the same old monthly diet of "GSX-R1000 vs R1 vs ZX10 vs Blade Giant Shootout", they seem to concentrate a bit more on the types of bike that the ordinary joe gets into and the real world 'tinkering in the shed' type projects. The issue that I got included our very own Fred and his 50,000 mile 748, and a real nice 'Fortuna NSR250'. I found it a good read. Might even buy it again |
you'd be better off buying next months instead mate... :) bit silly buying the one you've already read :frog: |
It was given a re-launch about 5-6 months back. Definitely much better, but there's obviously a temptation to go back to the old style. |
so hope they dont, i rate it higher than bike and ride now. |
That RS250 is awesome :D |
They are following us at Phase one Endurance for 2006 to help rasise the profile of the endurance series  Must go and buy it  |
Must admit I''ve bought the last few also, as I was following the speed record bike and the 9R rebuild - its a much more interesting read than it used to be. The 748 article was novel and I wondered if the rider had any connections here at all? I'm sure some of his tips would be of use! F |
yea ive been buying it as well, much better price than the others too. /ian |
