CNC quick release petrol cap While the tanks away being sprayed with the rest of the bodywork I was looking at replacing the fuel cap for a CNC quick release one. Has any else used one and are they worth the dosh. Casoli price is £70, Protwins and Tecmoto are over the ton. Which is best....:puzzled: |
Carbon:cool: |
Carbon ones are **** - the Ducati Performance ones are really badly made, require modification of the standard cap and then don't fit properly, and are really stiff in operation. A real waste of money. I'd go for ally one any day. Try: http://www.moto2.co.uk/ are about £60 and you can pick the colours and styles in a mix-n-match way. |
Thanks Ant, great site, just purchased silver outer cap and gold inner cap. Keeps it as near to origional as possible. All for about £60....:D Nice bit of Bling.......:D |
When you are parked up someone will Nick the cap Or Drop something in the tank |
Depends what it gets used for - trackday tank maybe? |
i use a alloy one. nice piece of kit. but i dont leave the bike anywhere long enough to let things happen to it. dont bother with the carbon. and as Antone said you should get one for £60 ish |
I only plan to use it when the bike is always in view. I share your concern over theft or things put in the tank. Its a great shame there are such low lifes around to do these things. I will keep the old one for such times when the 916 is out of view. |
