Driving in France I am off to Le Mann on the 18th for the Endurance race where I am working for Phase one. But I have only ridden the bike over there and I am going in me car. So what do I need e.g license insurance etc What do I need to do to the car ? any help would be greatful:cool: By the way look out for bike number 3 phase one Yamaha and bike 6 Shell academy (phase one Yamaha) I am going to be sat on pit wall doing timing for bike 6  Thanks Age |
you must always carry with you driving license, car's V5, insurance certificate and MOT certificate. There all mandatory and you must be able to show them when controlled by the police. You also need to display GB at the rear of your car and some special stickers to apply to your headlight because they go the wrong way  Enjoy your trip to "Le Mans" ;) [Edité le 6-4-2006 par Tonio600] |
:saint:A big banner saying 'French Farmers are Gay' always goes down well with the locals:saint: |

In the past I've generally only ever took my paperwork, as Tonio said. I've not done owt to the lights nor am I putting a darn GB sticker on - looks so gay. |
You dont have to do the GB sticker thing if you have the EU blue banded number plates. Thats the first thing I do to my cars, change the plates to blue band with GB so that if I get up one morning and want to go abroad I can without one of those naff stickers. In Italy and France all new cars are fitted with them as standard at the showroom and with the open borders it makes alot of sense. You can get away with just adjusting your headlights on some cars. Ask your dealer it might be just some triddling. |
Well been out and bought a travel Kit from Halfords ! 1x first aid kit 1x warning triangle 1x GB sticker 1x pair of headlight stickers so looks like I am all sorted ! Age |
AGE you need a red triangle and a Hi viz vest now ! compulsory! ...mav |
