Pipercross air filters - how much......? How much are the carbon tube Pipercross air filters? Looked on Demon Tweaks (yes,...I know...) and they are £300. This can't be right can it? |
OK now looked on another site and £19.39 is the price. This obviously sounds better. Can anyone confirm price (ish)from personal experience? |
both prices could be right ... !! If you have carbon airtubes with the runners in them for the filters then the cheaper ones will be what you want. If you don't have the runners (and most carbon ones don't) then you can't mount the filters, in whicj case you'll need the uber expensive one as it has everything you need to mount the removable filters to the inside of the airbox. |
Thanks, Dibble Have you ever noticed that, one expensive mod (like carbon air tubes) leads to other expensive mods (like £300 filters)? Another one thatcomes to mind is a floating rear disc I bought last year, followed by new lightweight caliper, caliper bracket and new lenth kevlar line.... and the specially ground thickness pads!! Or.... magnesium swinging arm and then new rocker arm, ride height adjuster etc..... Maybe I should have got to the point that after 8 years of 9** ownership that it doesn't matter. Deep breaths ..... I'm now OK:flame: |
"in Tube" type Pipercross filters are £20 to £25. They fit any air tube that have runners fitted, Standard, carbon, unobtainium etc. If you have no runners in yer air tubes theirt are alternatives to under tank types, i.e the ones that go over the inlet to the airbox. They ain't £300 either. Seen em on an aussie website and no doubt someone brings em into the UK. Ray |
