Rebuild... Ha !!! Story so far... No Wheels No Shox No Brakes No rectifier No battery No clutch No seat (but half way to something a bit different). No header pipes and an almost refurbished tank. Should be back on the road for about 2009  ![]() |
And who'd have thought you were such a big Clifford fan too...:frog: |
Why don't you just buy a new bike Frank? ;) It would probably be cheaper and easier  |
If we're airing our dismantled Supersports, then here's my SL.... I will finish it soon... ![]() Anyone else got a dismantled SS? FE fanboy...?:frog: |

Clifford (The big red dog) is a good mascot  Some progress - Front discs have finally gone on. Been to Hawk Fastners and bought quite a bit of nice stainless fastners to finally banish the Blue alloy rubbish that the previous owner had fitted. Painted my new header pipes and old rocker covers - looking a bit flaky. Finished the tank refurb - Big up here to Derek and the POR15 he recommended - its a superb treatment thats been covered in previous posts. The interior of my tank is now so much better than before. The only addition I made to the detailed instructions were putting the whole tank inside a bin bag and tearing a hole where the filler cap was. I then duc-taped around the hole to prevent any splashes to the paint work - as I'm not the most careful worker in the world. Nelly has recommended trying ST4S clutch plates and a set arrived today that I'll fit asap - by gum does Nelly know his stuff !!! More - as it happens  Frank |
