Grand Prix Legends (or should that be bell ends?) shocker - again

Just wanted to share my disgust at the level of service these people provide.

My wife ordered 2 items, 2 weeks ago for my birthday (24th)...she chased three times, being promised twice that the goods would arrive in time for my birthday - they didnt and she was quite upset as a result.

1 item came late - but was the wrong thing anyway ! And listen to this..!!

My wife phoned up to return it and get the correct item sent...and was told that she would have to pay ANOTHER £7.99 postage and packaging..!! When she stated that this was farcical as it was their mistake, and we werent happy anyway..we were then told that it would be reduced to £4.99..!!!

They have now refused to send the correct item until they have recieved the other item back - and we are still waiting on the 2nd item.

A joke - I think im right in saying that other people on here have had similar experiences.

I would never use them again after some previous nightmares (and extortionate postage charges), but obviously my wife was unaware of there reputation.

Beware...:mad::mad:

Sorry to hear your tale of woe.

As for the birthday, I take it that the 24th you refer to was the date, not your age?

Cos if you're only 24 you must've had a hard old life :frog:

I'd definitely get a snotty letter drafted and sent to them. As for your legal stance I'd say you were well within your rights to send them the article back along with an invoice for the cost of return postage. Include in your letter 'fit for purpose' - it's worked for me in the past.

I ordered two "Airwaves" shirts in Feb that arrived promptly. I sent the one size back that didn't fit and waited for my refund.

And waited.

And waited.

8 weeks later I got my £29.99 back after chasing them weekly and being told "we're moving warehouse and there's a backlog". Not good enough. I'll pay full price elsewhere in future.

I had ordered some clothing a while back and asked what the sizes were as they were s, m. l. xl,xxl they told me what sizes were for what measurement and before someone says bet it was too small you fat git, The clothes were to big and like you to return it you have to pay postage and packaging and then again for the new items. It cost a fortune and would of been cheaper to drive all the way from Bristol to buy it.:barfy:
