Alternator rotor retaining nut?

Hi Gents,

Would someone be kind enough to tell me what the Torque settings are for the alternator rotor retaining nut on 1997 916 Bip

Many thanks

I don't recall the exact figure but, Ducati John did mine on the 800 recently and he mentioned something about the factory now doing it to some ridiculously high figure like 150-200Nm.

210Nm ..............................

You WILL need the holding tool though at that torque. Use some thread lock on it as well ;)

I replaced mine recently as I had the flywheel off...

Like Nelly says used Loctite (threadloc that is, not superglue!), but I used a 2p to lock the engine... Put it between the flywheel/starter teeth and Bobs your Dad's brother!
