Trackday fairing questions...

Hi all,

has anyone heard of/used these guys?

http://www.superbikebodywork.co.uk/d...dyworkpage.htm

Was going to buy mine of Barry, but after speaking to this guy I think I'll go with him...
Seems pretty switched on, he even has a 996!

Also, I don't want to dredge up the daytime MOT debate, but who rides to their TD's with TD fairings fitted (ie. no headlight) and have they had any grief from the plod?

Muchas Gratias,

quick question .. if i may ...

why buy something frome someone who no one here has ever heard of when Barry comes recommended by virtually everyone that has trackday bodywork on a 748/9** style bike ....??

I'm not saying his kit isnt as good, but I don't understand the logic ... !!

Because i've got a TD at the end of the month and this guy has guaranteed a two week delivery time, when I spoke to Barry he was very busy...

Also he sounds like he knows what he's talking about, says he will reinforce the inside of the fairing with kevlar next to the waterpump housing. The fairing also comes pre drilled, with Dzus fasteners and he'll do the bellypan in black for no extra charge...

That's why...:)

Chris mate, have you used these guy's yourself ? Am thinking about buying a complete track body kit for my 2003 748. £350 for a complete kit painted sounds fair enough, do you know what the quality is like, does fit properly ?

Cheers

Simon

Funnily enough so does Barry.... In fact I've just got back from picking a kit up for MartinH

Barry is always busy... why because he probably makes one of the best kits there is for a 998, he was telling me he's sold over 200 998 kits in the last 2 years... why?

Plus Barry could do you one for 2 weeks if you asked...

Does barry do a 999 kit yet? including seat?

JPM 12-May-2006 16:35

Yes but it might be worth checking with him as last time I saw him he did say he had a few issues with it and wasn't happy with the side fins etc, I didn't ask him today

Tantrum992 12-May-2006 16:36

Can someone give me a contact number or site address for Barry

Cheers

Simon

Certainly have, he now does old 748/9** style as well as the 998 style, check out his site, my brothers bike (Bionicle)
the Alcohol soft 999r in the gallery has one of his 749/999 fairings & paint job, my 748 as in my avatar and on his gallery has the fairings done by him as well, so for the price great value, all the mounting points are strengthened, he will paint/gel coat sticker what ever design you want.
