Oil filter gauze removal
 

I have just had a look at removing this and wondered what the slotted screw was thats under the bolt, Is it a lock nut and needs removing before you take out the gauze filter?

I've had mine out without removing the screw that your talking about.

Thanks for that will leave the screw alone then
