Cheers Jasper, what it was was when I had my frame/swingarm powdercoated they forgot to cover the holes for the pinch bolts and I need to clean them out. Thanks anyway Dave |
Sorry Dave, Haven't got a tap that size bit rare as ISO standard is M12 with a 1.75mm pitch, metric fine is with a 1.5mm pitch so 1.25mm is ultra fine pitch. Possibly the same as some spark plugs, maybe worth checking to see if a plug thread chasing tool will do the job. |
Or make a tap with anbolt the same thread, cut some longitudional slots in the thread, to cut the paint away. Have got out of trouble by this method myself in the past. |
checked and 12mm X 1.25mm pitch is the same as some spark plugs, but you would have to do it from the underside i suspect Seeley do a tool http://www.tooled-up.com/Product.asp...er-10-And-12mm http://www.premiertools.co.uk/item2645.htm http://www.spark-plugs.co.uk/pages/p...ance_tools.htm http://www.toolsnstuff.co.uk/product...e 0ee868bd585 |
Cheers for that Kev, it looks like it will be my best option. |
