Clutch poressure plate and fitting to STM clutch
 

Have a speedymoto clutch pressure plate:

also have an STM slipper clutch. The 2 do not seem to be compatible. Any ideas about how to adjust or use shims so that the 2 fits. Seems that the clutch plate is not low enough down in the basket for the springs to acctuate.

One of our fellow Essex members was having problems with a clutch pressure plate - it may be the same thing.

If you turn the plate over and look at the indents that the teeth go into, his were arched rather than square cut. Because of his clutch teeth, the arches were not cut deep enough to engage the plate properly. When he looked at the original plate the cuts were square rather than arched, and this seemed to make all the difference.

Don't know if I've explained that too well, but check your original and bling clutch pressure plates and you might see the same?

I would say the slipper pressure plate doesnt/shouldnt have any teeth on it. :D

Try turning one over and looking at it and you'll be surprised.

FWIW i'm running a slipper and a teethed plate on the adivce of Nelly..

no difference at all.

My bucci pressure plate doesnt have teeth on it!:P

In fact it has been known for people to get the teeth part 'turned' off of a pressure plate to fit it to a slipper internals!

The suggestion is, they offer a model to fit ducatis running factory slipper clutches, that says to me the other is not for slipper?
