My second 600SS has now been sold

Just sold my second 600SS to a fellow DSC member that intends to race it in Class B.
Included with it was a new K&N filter and Jet kit, along with a Art race can and Viper link pipe plus a few spares including race type fairing front panel.
All it needs now is some lock wiring a, lower chain gaurd and a catch tray and it should be out on track sometime following Castle Combe.

You just need to sell another 20 odd and we'll be OK

So far Dom we have had 28 different 583s race, this is another bike to the series making 29, Rattler is doining one at the moment so I think I'm safe in saying that Class B should be able to put at least 25 bikes out on the grid for the remainder of the year.
Its the 620s we need more of, now if I can drop my 620 motor into my 750 chassis that could put another class A bike out on the grid either with me on it or somebody else.

I can't see anyone complaining about that.

If its me riding it I'm quite happy to do it as a non points scoring rider and not take points off anybody and the same would apply to anybody else racing it that did not meet the original entry criteria of being a DSC member at the end of last year.

Is a 750 or 900 chassis an advantage?

Wouldn't have thought so is it? As long as the engine is a 620 (or 583 for class B) does it matter what chassis it is?

They must be pretty much identical aren't they?

domski 27-May-2006 20:23

Basically, if thats something that may be preventing some people from joining, then maybe its a rule that needs re-thinking???

Dom I think if you removed the frame number from a 750SSie and did the same with a 620S along with removing the stickers and engine I think you would be hard pushed to find any differences.
You could still spot a 900 by its adjustable forks although I bet most everything else is the same except the alloy swingarm but we can use one of them anyway.
