748 clutch plate fitting question (someone must know) Hi, Just fitting my new clutch basket and plates and I notice that the plain plates have a notch cut out and I was wondering whether they need to be aligned or should they be staggered to ensure even weight distribution. Any help appreciated. Thanks Justin |
Surely someone has fitted a clutch themselves !! |
i did mate but i cant for the life think of what your describing |
Doesn't matter which way they go in.The only important one is the dished plate(got a dot punch on it). That must go in the correct place. |
Yep as Jasper says don't worry about the ickle cut outs I put them all over the place. As Jasper says just make sure the dished plate is in the right place and the correct way round |

Each of the non friction plates has a small semi circular notch cut out of the outer edge. But as the later posts have said. No need to align these. Thanks Chaps !! |
