Mirror glass. - How do i remove and fit ?

Got a new mirror for the Wifes 748S. Hers was broken on Ferry over to France...

So how do i take the glass out of her broken one ? and how do i fit the glass into the new one ?

i'm assuming the mirror i ordered from Ducati will come without glass ?

thanks in advance guys.

I think underneath the housing is a small allen or torx bolt. Undo that and the mirror glass and ball joint should come out.

it could be a small screw, mine is, place long thin screwdriver up the hole and turn...otherwise as ath says

Just out of interest, is it a flat or phillips screw?

Phillips or cross head screw driver. And i think there's someone on ebay selling the mirror glass part only.... I needed one - but ended up getting yellow ones!

Would you believe £45 gets the FULL thing.... Mirror glass and rubber bit...

Brand new and colour matched... Ti Grey for her 748S...

Bargain or what !!!!

Ha, ha. I've done that but being able to see through a 3.5mm hole into a black mirror is not a skill I possess.

I did tweak it with a small, straight bladed screwdriver at the weekend but it's a bit of a hassle to locate. I felt it could have been a pozi that I was just picking up on by chance, thus the question.
