2 mins would be a very good time for a 620 I think :o |

   You plank! I managed a 2:00 lap at Oulton in 2003 on a 50bhp ZXR400 after 7 laps - click here before my team-mate blew it up in the next race. I would think a 1:57 would have been possible on that - and it was a shed. CB500's have been down to about a 2:02 I think too, although Alex Gault who's in it this year was doing 2:09's in the wet!!! Faster than Dave Heal on the KTM. So a 2 min lap should be a good target for 620's - the fast ones. Maybe a 2:10 would be a good target for a top six 583??? Maybe? Dunno though, could be wildly out. I have done 1:55's before Hizzy's was put in, on the CB500 on shagged tyres - click here |
Looking at some of the results from 2003 on Bemsee's site, the Aprilia 125's are doing 2:04's, YPM (Old TZR250's) are doing 2:03's and the first Minitwins were doing 1:54's. I think 2:00 will be good for 620's and a 2:04 will be good for 583's. Thoughts? |
I reckon that seems pretty fair Dom Oulton is a good circuit for the smaller bikes as it suits anything that can maintain corner speed and the straights are not that long. |
