Torque setting

Hi all. What is the torque setting in Nmetres for the Clutch nut on the 996r Im running a bucci slipper and want to grease the ball bearings at the back. Also what size socket will I need. Thanks again Ian.

Just wanted to hunt through the files I have.

Std 996 manual says for "Clutch drum nut ?" 186 Nm with a tolerance of +/- 5%.
Nice touch that it lists sizes as well - 20mm apparently.

Not sure if a 996r will be different mind - NELLY !!!!

Cheers - Frank

How often should the ball bearings be greased on the Bucci slipper clutch.

You'll know it's time to grease it when it no longer operates as expected. For instance, you might find that you have to blip the throttle for it to re-engage once you've released the clutch lever whereas normal operation would dictate a gradual re-engagement without any extra throttle action on your part.
