748R rear wheel

Could anyone suggest why the rear wheel on my 748R has almost zero 'free-wheel' ? I noticed that whilst it was on a paddock stand and I happened to spin the wheel, not only was it tight, but wouldn't maintain any momentum at all. The chain is correctly tightened and nothing else seems amiss....Any ides ? Some kind of dry bearing maybe ?

Thanks

binding rear brake? chain too tight?

Does the paddock stand shaft rotate on a bearing??, if not that will be the problem as the rear wheel won`t be able to rotate freely.

thanks guys.....
The chain is fine, and the brake seems to work as it should. I'll check the paddock stand.......

good point - use the sidestand and tip it over onto the stand and front wheel so that the rear wheel is off the deck - give it a spin then

my vote is paddock stand...caught me out the same way..also careful if lubing and running on the stand (spiining the wheel) coz they work their way off! almost done that too TUT
