New Brakes

Well I've been looking at ways of improving things, my first choice was to fit some HyperPro springs but after a wait of some 4 months I've given up on this avenue. However I've just had some new boots fitted and whilst there (Pro V Twins) I asked what could be done to get more from the brakes, reply... "Fit some Carbon Lorain pads" this I did and and I must say that there GREAT, go get some NOW.

Fitted ferodo CP911* to my race bike at Castle Combe the other saturday and found them a big improvement over the Ferodo Reds I had been using upto then, which Carbon Lorains did you go for, was it the SBK3s

I've had SBK3s on the front of my 750ss for some months now and they make a huge difference over the standards pads.

Well worth the little bit extra. I think the SBKs seemed to get a little better after a week's use too.

I think they were the only reason I got past some better powered bikes at the Rockingham hairpin. (Or was that bravery/stupidity?)

After 20,000 miles the original pads were still barely half worn. Last spring I fitted a set of DP601 HH+ pads - what a difference. The bike really stops now and without the snatchy initial bite of some other makes of pad. Even better, the ceramic pad material leaves virtually no brake dust.

i got carbone lorraine pads fitted to my bike recently, and the difference between them and the standard pads are increadible. the only problem i find is the amount of brake dust they leave behind. small price to pay i suppose.:)
