How to break the DSC Forum

Simple!

Just try to go to page 2 on any thread with lots of posts.

It'll soon break. Try it:

Who says I never do anything for this club? :D

Yep - good spot - pages locks up on me too.

With the amount of quotes, avatars, and attachments mind, I'm surprised it loaded page 1 nevermind page 2.

Even on the white scheme it locks, so the avatars are not the issue (unless it calls them, then surpresses them). Has to be said, this code is a complete pile of steaming poo. If someone programmed something this quality at work we'd let them go pretty sharpish and we don't even sell the software we build....

Having said that, I'm not sure what the other options are, and I'm sure a shedload of research was done before selecting vB.

For the seventeen millionth time .... It's host specific, not message board specific ... as much as these can be separated.

domski 23-Jun-2006 18:04

Well why don't we get another message board then????

domski 23-Jun-2006 18:05

A mechanical one - to go with the host!! ;)

It is annoying though. I wrote a lengthy response to Mav's, kicking the **** out of chav's thread, and badmanners has responded to it but I can't view it because I get a fatal error every time I click on it.

Grrr ...

We'll be good soon, patience grasshopper ... i need some as well.
