Exactly what are you going to get out of fitting this? I'm all for bling, I have carbon dripping off my R ... but I know it's not adding any performance value, it may very well be fitted to the factory racebikes but who cares? It's not doing anything for performance. As long as you recognise this and buy accordingly, fill your boots.

:D

Best one I saw was the standard "tin" clutch cover from a 749r that was advertsied as - genuine OE equipment from a 2004 homolgation 749r ideal upgrade for any 749 / 999

And better than that he had also listed the rubber seal from the cover and again he went on about it being OE fitment from a 2004 749r Homolgation model and upgrade for standard 749 / 999

Both items sold

Item: DUCATI PERFORMANCE BILLET RACE FUEL CAP 999/749/MULTI (200000930517)
This message was sent while the listing was active.
stillgotmyfingers is the seller.

i bought it as with all my stock from a bankrupt dealer i was told it was worth 300 . i do not have it for sale for that price i put it on for 1p with no reserve , and ive listed the part number, it is an auction and people will only pay what they wish anyway

If the fuel cap I have on my 800ss road bike is anything to go by then you'll still get a significant weight saving over the std cap - if you're racing it's worth going after but not "£300" worth! lol

I prefer to spend it on reducing unsprung weight instead.
