Endowment policy - cash it in or sell it Hi, To all the advisors on the DSC, if I were to want to sell an endowment that is 10 years old this month .... who do I deal with to get the best return. The policy is no longer attached to a mortgage. |
Unless you are strapped for cash, I would keep it, it`s a damn good life insurance policy & will still give a better return later than cashing it in now, my own thoughts though. Chris.:burn: |
As Chris says, you will lose quite a bit of the fund value cashing it in |
You do not want to sell that policy, endowments gather value as they get older. |
The best thing is to see the policy through to maturity because in that way you will realise maximum value. However, if you need the cash then try to sell first as this should yield a greater value than surrendering. You may not actually be able to sell it, because the companies that buy are choosy about which ones they take. Hope that helps. |
