air filters

im sure poeple have lots of views on these but is one better than another would some fine mesh over the trumpets be ok/best?? (on racer told me he found his bike ran better that way) only reason i ask is my bike came fitted with a jhp filter that fits over the trumpets, i was fitting a cf airbox yesterday and on stripping my old airbox out i found the filter wasnt on the front trumpet correct which was doing two things smothering the trumpet but also letting **** straight into the throttle body at times, found flies in it and also some nice oil residue thats been coughed up by the motor.

Hello jon_m3

I have and use the jhp etc filters, if fitted correctly all should be fine.
every now and again remove the tank and clean around the bell mouths/airbox. more so to see if all is well.

not heard of the fine mesh jobiee.

one other thing that concerns me about the jhp filter is the lack of room at the front of the airbox with it fitted.

as for the fine mesh think pair of tights stretched over trumpets
