851 Tricolor Well I got a daypass from my hotel today and went out for a great blast. While I was looking for petrol on Campbeltown (Mull of Kintyre) I came across a fairly clean 8851 Tricolor in a mot station. I asked the guy's for some info but all they could tel me was that it had been in storage for a few years and was being mot'd. And the owner lives somewhere near Skipness!! of all the bikes in all the world to find EHHH! I will upload some photo's i took later or tomorrow. Dose anyone know anything about this bike? I left the garage my card and asked them to get the owner to give me a call hope they do! Peter |
I take it you want to buy it then ? |
No mate just interested in how it ended up in that neck of the woods and if the person is dsc or dun. |

Jools, it's a strange obsession. I just love these bikes! Strange, because (as everyone says to me) "oh, you can only ride one bike at a time, why do you want 2/3/4/5/etc". And, as you know me a little bit, you know that I'm not even a very good rider (used to be better, but........) With me these days it's honestly more about the ownership / collecting thing than it is about the riding thing (probably heresy to say this on here, but it's the truth). Even now, I open the garage door and I'm greeted by a sea of red. It fills my heart with joy! (about the only thing that does). So, no, I won't be stopping. And I've got 3 garages to fill now! BC |
Hi guys The chap selling that Tricolor was originally asking around £11,500 for it. It's been for sale a long time now though, so maybe he'll take a bit less. It looks a beauty, but that's a lot of cash for an 851. |

Don't underate yourself mate, you were doing alright the other week on the SPS, you weren't 'on it' so much on the SP4 on Saturday but if I was struggling with the after effects of a slipped disc I don't think I would be anywhere near a T8 - probably struggle to ride my ST. Quote:
Nothing wrong with that, like I said to Sparkin, you never really own a T8, it sort of feels like your duty to look after it for it's next owner as well. Someday, someones gonna be mighty glad to find you've looked after a whole herd of them - and I'll always ride 'em for ya  |
