Good bye S4r, hello Bmw K1200r Changing my S4r for a k12, still love the s4r wish i could have both!! the Bmw is wierd but i like it hehe. I would like to thank everyone for the advice i have recieved over the years and will still like to visit to and if any one would like to know about the Bmw just ask! Its got the ESA (electronic suspension adjustment) be interesting to see how well it works and heated grips to for winter ahhhh! Im sure I will have another Ducati in future as a second bike to. Cant seem to attach a pic yet! |
I have both a Duacti and a Bemmer, at the end of the day it doesn't mater how sensible the German is, it'll never give you the pleasure and sound when you ride a Ducati. Every time I ride the RT I'm always left with the thought of it's a quick 2 wheel car, but why am I doing this again? Hope you return to the path of true happiness soon. |
Thanks Jeff I think the K1200r is a wee bit more exciting to ride than a tourer like the RT. With a 0-60 of 2.91 and top speed of 165mph for a naked which is pretty mental I think lol! Yeah I know what u mean about Dukes they do have that special something, taking the bits of mine today looking at it I still love it |
getting old !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! saw them racing with GP a few years back and they laped with in a second of the gp bikes. if i had the money enjoy |

I do not question the BM in terms of quality I think they make well made interesting enginereed bikes that will outlive most others. But the 1200 just sounds like any other Jap 4 cylinder, whilst the Boxer cup bikes were a touch amusing to watch racing, at least they had someting different about them, when they were replaced the 1200's they sounded a bit flat. Ultimately I just love the sound of a twin. Hope you enjoy your new toy. |
