Do R1 riders blank you ??? 11:30 Sunday morning and I went to halfrauds to get some oil to treat both bikes to an oil change. There I was sitting at a roundabout in Bedford and I had to give way to a string of Honda 400's. Bringing up the rear there was a bloke on a metallic red 04 R1, wearing a Spidi suit with No 2 on the sleeves. That's Fil2 I thought, but it can't have been 'cos he blanked me when I waved...well either that or it was because I'd used Mrs Jools Smart car for the little trip into town  |
I wouldn't worry too much Jools, them R1 riders think they are born racers and a cut above the rest of us |
I thought it was just GSX R riders that did it????????????? |
Probably just stunned to see a ducati rider actually nod to a non ducati rider. sounds harsh but its true. Out on the honda's most will have a nod apart from most ducati riders, yet out on the ducati its the other way round |
Jools Go on , admit it.....you forgot that you weren't on the bike didn't you? |

Errrrr.....yep! Phil might've recognised me on my T8  |

I have to say I've been there, sometimes the reaction of seeing a bike naturally induces a nod, feels very foolish when driving a car. |
How about when you get to a traffic queue and have to stop yourself from filtering down the outside... in your car! |
Or getting an itchy throttle response when sitting at the lights and a Jap bikes comes along side, thinking I know my 2.5tdi volvo estate will have him, just got to get the lights right and he can eat my toxic diesel cloud...........then I get a grip on reality as the whinging 4 cylinder screams away. |
