How safe are tubeless tyre repairs after an emerency roadside fix.
 

A question to those who have more knowledge than I on this subject.
When for a ride down to tunbrige well this afternoon and had the misfortune to get a blowout on the rearwheel along the A21 just before pembry turn off.
After closer inspection of the tyre it seems that there had been a large nail or screw inbedded into the centre of the tyre which had managed to extricate itself at approx 60-70 MPH.

Managed to keep it upright and pull over but it did go down pretty darn fast to be honest, but it could have been a lot worse if it had blown a few miles earlier. Lickily no damage to the marvic, only frayed nerves myself.

Got the AA out and he did an emerency repair which got me to my mates and back home to guildford.
AA guy said that they are pretty good repairs and can last a long time.
But how long and safe is this repair, it's an allmost new rear tyre , so don't fancy replacing just yet, or should I not even consider using it and get a new rubber fitted.

no probs usually robin.

c had a punture on her m1000 just after she got it and hadnt done even 100 miles but the tyre lasted another 3500 till she needed to change it for a td.
