fuel filter

Is it possible to change the filter without removing the filler cap??

KeefyB 09-Aug-2006 08:52

I dont think you will be able to reach it without removing the cap,..so no.

No, you need to remove the cap to get it out. It's pretty straight forward. The most difficult part was getting the cap back in straight!

Nope. There's not enough room. Have a couple of the grub screws rounded off by any chance????

No all grubscrews ok, just thought id check before i start, thought as usual i would remove the cap and someone then tells me you dont need to do that, thanks for your replys

Buy a metal bodied fuel filter and mount it outside the tank - then send Derek a beer voucher ;)
