Race fairing Toying with the idea. Anyone know what full front/side fairing might fit on a monster or is it a case of anything can be made to fit. Anyone got anything suitable that they are selling and what price it is? Cheers |
Just take a look at some of the pics! We have everything from 916 to S4 challenge to RS250 fairings on them! Anything can be made to fit with a little bit of cutting and some metalwork for bracketry ... just depends how much work you want to do. |
Anything fits with a few extra holes here and there and maybe a custom bracket or two :) We had the Aprilia RS250 fairing lying round the workshop when we were building mine. Held it up to the bike and it was spot on, other than needing an extra couple of holes drilling in the side to mount it to existing brackets and a bit cutting off round the bottom :) Used the bellypan out of the original SS fairing and tht was it, done. Find something you like the look of and try it, make another 'unique' one :D |
Thanks all. It was RS250 fairing that got me thinking as some has come up at a good price. Not completely sure yet but not sure if I want to cramp your style Grib.... |
Have a look at our bike at Snett. Chass has made some brackets up which are pretty much jubilee clipped and zip tied on (It crashed ok too - doh!). The 916 style fairing goes stright on and lines up with all the frame rails etc. |

Style? what style? ;) Go for it! If you can get some cheap, my one's a bit battered, could do with another to make her pretty for next sesaon. |
Cheers Dom I might try to get my s4 front on temporarily for Snetterton and then have a look at your bike at Snetterton. Grib - your bike does have style (kinda Valentinoesque). Might buy the fairing anyway and once I have had a look at Dom's bike make a decision. I will sell to you at the price i buy it if I go the 916 route. Cheers Franco |
