London bike show - hooray!

Have just emerged from under the rock I have been hiding to find out that they are moving from Ally Pally to Excel - five minutes walk from me.

Takes place 1-4 Feb. Book early at Hotel Chicken to avoid disappointment (trendier lodgings can be found at www.dibblesfloor.com).

Room in the garden for about 10 bikes, although getting them out might be a problem...

I`m going upset the apple cart here but when I last went to Excel for the Motor Cycle & Scooter show, about 3 years ago it was the worst run venue/event I have ever been to. The security staff were like the Gestapo but bloody rude and abrasive as well.

Lets hope its improved since then, but I`ll still mis the atmosphere of Ally Pally!

The end of the 'Superbike and Road Racing show' for sure.

thats what it was called when i started going, you went just before the start of the season to get your kit and see what the race parts suppliers had come up with over winter.

Last couple of years though its become a car boot show full of cheap ****, last years stock brought by market traders and punting it out, its all a bit too del boy for me.

I really hope the new venue will have some quality control, we want to see what's new, not what was new a few years ago and is now cheap.
