What should clutch plates look like?

Fitting new clutch to my 748. Had hoped i would get away with using the plates that were previously fitted, however now that I actually look at them they look quite worn. However I don't have anything to compare them with and have been told that dry clutch plates normally don't have that much em stuff on them anyway?

Can someone show me or tell me what they should look like?

and if they are no good where is the best place (read cheapest) to get them?

Cheers
Stu

go here and look at the picture. You'll see how much friction material is applied to the plates.
Im sure someone will be along soon to give their opinions on where to get the cheapest replacement parts.

Empi,

There is very little material on new friction plates plates, about 1mm?? They really do look like they will last about 5 mins but do the job for a lot longer if yer not a drag racer.

Ray.
