No question - the 996R!!! Its a special limited edition bike, its covered in carbon and will retain its resale value much better.... ...the engines were handbuilt, it was the Ducati that was homologated for Mr Bayliss to win the World Champs in 2001. As I've just got one, I've been doing my research on what's out there and as there are a few around, drop me a U2U if I can help. Tim |

As the owner of a nice 998s mono, and very happy with it, i would have to agree that the 996R would be the way to go, rare hand built etc. In terms of performance, they both have the same engines so one would assuime the performance is the same. The R has all the nice carbon bits but as we all know these can be fitted to the S. Yer paYS yer money etc etc etc.;) |
