999R PC3 map required (stock ecu+race termi) Hi all I need a pc3 map for a 03/04 model 999r with STOCK ecu and race termi (the one one supplied with the bike) anyone had one done they can email? many thanks Simon |
Go to;www.dynojet.com simon, you should be able to download what you need from there ! |
thanks Simon i did have a look before but they only show 'European model' which is going to be different from an 'R' map. Prob i have is my race ecu is faulty (rev limit moving around and power figures varying by as much as 6rwhp between consecutive runs) Swapping out race ecu for stock ecu and want to put a map in to test before i go back on th edyno again. |
Try "Bionicle" on this board he has a 999r & a power comander I think. Chris.:burn: |
I have found with mine that the rev limiter does cut in every now and then at revs lower than the rev limit..........is that whats happening to yours? |
Same with my 999r...I in fact spoke with Moto Rapido only yesterday about the problem - my rev limiter appears to be kicking in at under 9thou and Ben there tells me it should be coming in at around 10,200. He's recommended checking that the rev counter is working correctly before doing anything too drastic. Also tells me that the standard ECU cannot be adjusted and that a Power Commander will not sort it? |
rev limits should be 10,500 iirc the prob came up on a dynojet dyno. 1st run gave 132.6 @approx 10,500 indicated rev limit on the actual dyno second run 5 mins later gave 138.9 @approx 10,000 i think the third run gave 134@10,200 iirc 6bhp difference! spoke to jhp who advised its ok to use standard ecu as it is the same rev limit and pc3 will overide with its own fuel/air settings. Quite common to get faulty race ecu's apparently |
I thought you were having a singing and dancing engine built? |

only if Duk did not supply the parts i needed, which they did so used stock pistons that i got from themetc. Bike is now run in hence fitting pc3 and getting proper set up. On the initial runs we found the fault with the ecu. |
OOOOh...wernt you tempted with a 996 crank slipping in there.......? |
