1990 851 value ? Can anyone tell me what a good price for a 1990/G, 19887m 851 would be please. (non-uppy-downy-forks 16" front) And if they are actually ok to ride, and/or how much it costs to sort them. I could be tempted to make an another 'investment' ! |
Phil Not too sure, probably reckon anywhere between £2500 - £3500 depnding on how good / bad nick its in. Just a guestimate, sure some of the other 851 / 888 bunch will be along soon to give pointers. Recall there have been a few guys on the board bought similar bikes in last year or so. I paid £4k for my '92 888 about 18 months ago from a dealer in pretty much immaculate condition having had recent engine strip & rebuild. Of all bikes I've had this ones a keeper, Alan... |
got a late 851 if you might be interested. was MOT'd till june. needs work to get it running but nothing you couldnt sort yourself phil:) was going to be my project over this winter but might not now have the time. will take 1k as it is |

Hi, I might be wrong but i think the"90 red 851 had 17" wheels. Steve Robins |
yup the 90' bike had 17inchers alright - but this could be an 89 registered in 90 ? maybe |
Actually, looking again at the pic of the bike in question, I think it does have 17inchers, which makes me happier. Dont know much about the non-uppy-downy-forks that were fitted then though. |
Phil give me a buzz on my mobile if you want to pop over & see it 07956 351399 or chat about it. reg 1992 with all the late bits have heard thats sposed to be the best:) so my mate nelly told me |

A 1992 888? A SP4? Nice price! Back on topic :) The 89-90 models came standard with 17 inch wheels. Only the Tricolore (strada) came with 16 inch wheels. I have read some articles about those models and they were all positive of it. Specially in comparison to the tricolore. |
