748 bhp I have a 748 only base model but with Arrow 50mm full system and jhp chip and different filter. It came with a dyno test but not actually sure what BHP it really should be putting out. It has two sheets one run shows gear changes and shows 91.73 bhp and a top speed of about 155mph. The second is a smooth incline graph with no dips showing max power 90.05 and speed of 125 before dropping down. I thought the 748 put out about 100 a standard or is that the 748R . I thought it was comparable to the monster s4. This is not a problem but curiosity |

don't forget that is rear wheel italian stallions! - 10-15% lost from crank to wheel i think is normal?? a standard 748 is good at 90, i have heard of some at mid-high 80's. The R model was rated at 103 or 105 but once again this is at the crank - though have heard of some being dynoed at this sort of figure. 90hp is good especially if you use all of it in the right place. |
my 748SP put out 100 with 50mm full system and chip so sounds about ok if its a bip |
haynes says :748 bip 98 bhp@11000 748 sps 100.3 bhp@11350 data sourced from motorcycle news road tests . So if MCN says so it must be true!!!!. |
Thanks guys. I gather this would have been measured at rear wheel so that may equate to the 10% if at crank which would then be 101. Like I said it has been breathed on with system and chip. Is enough for me. For now!!!! LOL |
