I don't think they're considered a classic but my first car was a Datsun 260Z and I loved it to bits.

Bad points - they rust!

I'd definitely have another one :D

Definately a classic Tony.I had a 240Z when i was 19.CRP 111k.Had to sell it as i couldn,t afford to re insure it.Went to South of France in it.Broke my heart to sell it.New owner wrote it of within the week.Shame it was called a Datsun.

I wanted a 240 originally but couldn't find a decent one. The 260 was something special, I really loved that car.

I've been thinking that when I eventually go home I'll get another one, or a 240, and do it up. Not original though, apparently you can fit the 1UZ-FE or 2UZ-FE engine straight in them. They are the 4.0L and 4.3L quad-cam, injected V8 with an alloy block that Toyota/Lexus use in the SC400 and the SC430.

There's a company in Aus called Sprintex that make a twin-screw supercharger that bolts straight onto the engine, and still leaves room to close the bonnet :D

Woohoo!

Yeah ,forgot the rust bit.Took a right babe out in it and procceded to impress her with my Formula 1 ability and skill. All went quiet until the end of the lane when she calmly climbed out and refused to get back in as the floor had been moving beneath her feet.Sure enough on lifting back the carpet the whole floorpan had disappeared and her feet were supported by the carpet and remains of the chassis leg!
Another reason why it had to go.

My mother had a Holden Gemini that did that, only it was my feet that went through it! I nearly soiled myself :D

Get another Z Griff, and gissa go!

My first car was a 1973 MG BGT in white with Chrome bumpers. Lovely :D
