could anyone tell me if it is possible to get a slip on race can for a 999 mono and if so how much

No,the cheapest option is the assymetrical Termignoni system which is about 1100 quid.
You cant just bung on an end can as there is a catalyser in the front pipe.There is another cat. in the standard can.I dont think the bike would run right with a race can and standard front down pipe.

I know of a race can that looks just like the WSB race bike. The company do an exchange service on the front pipe to get rid of the cat. Looks great and sounds better. If you want details and a photo drop me a line gundem1@chevrontexaco.com
