Disc Skimming Does anyone know anywhere that can skim brake discs? if possible?? I bought some new ones off ebay and they are "not straight"! (can't return them for the reason that the guy is no longer a registered user) Thanks.... |
How not straight are they? |
Wouldn't suggest it. There's only a 0.5mm wear limit on them when new. |
As Nelly says, (Disaster) looms !! Not worth it mate ¬ mav |
How not straight? - Actually as much as to un-balance the front wheel quite a lot (impossible to ride over 100mph! without the fairing feeling like it's gonna fall off....) So no options with these then!?? |

If they were meant to be NEW and are in fact warped then I'd of thought you have a clear case for a refund as unfit for purpose from Ebay. You must file a report within 60 days sadly - if youve paid by credit card you might stand a better chance. If you have details of the t*sser (sorry seller) and he wont play ball then I'm working my way through a similar case and have ended up here: https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp Good luck - Frank |
i PAID by cheque (cheque payment only!) so not sure if i've got any comeback??! Might be able to make a nice clock out of them!? |
