Have been using it for about a week now and have noticed good improvements over 1.5. Either way it's got to be better that IE7 which checks every site you visit against an MS 'whitelist'.....

Incidentally, for those of you that have their PCs tied at work, you can download a version that doesn't require installing from http://www.portableapps.com and run it off a USB key. Works a treat. :D

Good call with the portable apps site - quite wish I could use FF at work but, since I'm only scum level and have no priv's at all etc etc....

I love FF to bits but still prefare good old outlook express over Thunderbird, I like my email manager to be slim and fast - unlike myself in both aspects :)

Frank

PS - not being able to use Alt + s to save this is starting to irritate me though !!!!

I would recommend it!!!

I've been using firefox for years at home on my Linux system.

Although has anyone tried Windows Vista with the new version of explorer yet??

Only an Alpha release ... lets just say that I had it blown away in less time than it took me to install it!

Latest releases are apparently quite stable though.

We've been running tests and found that IE7 renders pages a lot faster than FF2, but the security of IE7 is a lot tighter than it ever has been before, and sometimes annoyingly so!

IE7 seems to do everything that FF2 does, and FF2 doesn't really have that many new features over 1.5 tbh, but I guess it's all down to personal preference.

I just want to try this...
