Having trouble Can anyone advise me. Ive just bought aftermarket Brembo clutch and brake master cylinders for my 996r . Ive taken the switch gear off and the throttle housing. When I offer the new brembo to it, there is what I can only decscribe as a grub screw type thingy in my clipon. When you guys have fitted yours have you had to get rid of this grub screw for it to fit correctly. Secondly on the clutch side it looks like I am going to have to ditch the choke to get the bloody aftermarket one on. On the underside of the clutch master cylider there is a blue gromet what goes in there. HELP |
Pull the pin out with pliers, this gives you more adjustment as well. :) |
need advise Thanks gaz. Sprayed it with WD40. Same on the other side which locates Choke in position. Do you think there would be any problem with ditching the choke and when I start her up just use very little throttle. |
Only fast idle on 748R, never use it tho. |
Master cylinder fitment 4 Attachment(s) This is how i fitted mine hope the photos will help |
Tinkler Can I suggest you get a proper wire clip to secure the hose to the main body and not use a tye wrap, these can and will go brittle and can easily "pop" off. |
Spoke with JHP. Will have to slightly grind down the studs and ditch the choke. Where did you get your brackets from ? |
Motorax there a mirror support As the wire tyes , they were on the airwaves , hm plant honda , rizla suzuki and virgin mobile all held on with cable ties which i saw at the bike show ?? |
The blue grommet, if it's on your new cylinder, pulls out and that's where you connect the clutch hose with the banjo bolt. |
