for forks sake

I need help,
I have been told that you can't get different rated fork springs for a 999S with the ohlils forks and if I can does any one know the standard rating for a 999S biposta, I think the biposta is not the same as the mono, the rear works with a different spring,
The only spring I have been offered is a progressive hyper pro.
so please please help me out. any info would help.
just to know ohlins do a selection would help.

Who told you that? Sounds like a load of cobblers to me.

Why can't you get different rated springs? As far as I know, they come with 9 or 9.5's and you can change them to whatever suits you.

I was told this by JHS Racing. How sure are you? Do you know anywhere I can get an ohlins spring?
Many thanks.

I'm no suspension expert, give Nelly or JHP a call, they'll be able to advise you better.

But the point is, its a normal cartridge type fork assembly, why wouldn't the springs be changeable?

And why do you want to change them? Softer or heavier?

yes you can,usually they will come with a 9.5kg spring,you can go up or down,in half kilo intervals,you can also,say have a 9.5kg,in one leg,and a 9kg,in the other,so your average is 9.25kg,for fine tuning etc,its very common,doing this with racing !
